A timeline is basically it’s a way of presenting history in chronological order to your children. For instance, when you read about Laura, you might make a timeline card that says “Laura moves to the prairie”. You could put a date on it and hang it in your schoolroom. Then, perhaps a week later you read about George Washington. You make a card for that and put a date on it also. Then you hang it before the card for Laura. You could even make a timeline card for your family events and hang them in order. Soon you have a way for your child to make sense of when things happen. We’ve displayed a certain time period at a time, and once when we had a long hallway we had a timeline on display that covered recorder history. That was fun!
I hope this makes a little sense, let me know if I can answer more questions.
Warmly,Jennifer

Subject: Timeline Confusion
Message: Hello!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful program. We are just about to finish our first week and have really enjoyed it so far. Unfortunately, I am very confused about the Timeline Work... what is it? How do I organize this? Do they just draw pictures and date them and I file them away? Do I make a binder? I feel so lost. I looked over the parents' guide so many times and I just feel like I'm missing something and would love some clarification.
Please help!
