PIONEERS DRAFT: Week 4 Field Trip

Go fishing or berry picking.
We're only a few weeks into this using The Precious People unit and we're all enjoying it! It is such a gentle, hands-on approach to learning and my kiddos (aged 10 to 4) are all loving it!
It helps me to easily design a teaching plan and my kids really like books on the reading list.
I bought this mostly for the cheesecake recipe, and it was great! I hope that will become an annual tradition for us. The other parts of the book flood were useful too, like the book list for me to grab some themed books from the library, and the links to read-aloud videos. The coordinated activity ideas were pretty good, but my family was already planning to do our own local activities, so we didn’t use those ideas as much.
This is so easy to use with a large family. Something for every level but still brings every one together. I love that
I love how all the activities are intertwined with the main lesson of the week. There’s also plenty of room to do more or less with the lesson plan based on my child’s ability and preferences.
