Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a profound sense of wonder within families. You don’t have to choose connection or curriculum; our resources nurture deep learning and strong bonds. Specializing in preschool through middle school curriculum, we transform homeschooling by offering life-giving resources that educate, inspire, and bring joy to children while providing peace to parents.

Vision

Our vision is to nurture connected families and restored communities through curriculum that assists children to create lasting memories, embrace curiosity, and find joy in every learning adventure.

Our Approach:

We Help Guide Your Homeschooling Journey

Our curriculum offers a holistic approach that cultivates connection and joy. We advocate for a developmentally appropriate education that prioritizes motor skills development in the early years and a rich feast of literature and experiences as children grow.

Our curriculum is a delight for all ages – our community consistently shares how it captivates every child in the household, sparking excitement to revisit cherished stories time and time again. Our thoughtful parent guides provide clear directions for busy families while allowing space for interest-led learning, facilitating a life-giving education that fosters curiosity and creativity.

Meet Our Founder

Jennifer Pepito brings over twenty-five years of homeschooling experience to The Peaceful Press, where she serves as the guiding force behind the development of nurturing and effective homeschooling resources. She has graduated five children from her program, with two students earning honors degrees from their preferred university and one pursuing a Juris Doctorate, another completing ministry school and a fourth graduating with honors from Coast Guard training. Upon discovering her second daughter's learning disabilities, Jennifer embarked on a journey of extensive research into child development and education, drawing insights from leading experts such as Carol Stock Kranowitz, Gordon Neufeld, Charlotte Mason and Maria Montessori. This deep dive into understanding laid the foundation for The Peaceful Press curriculum, designed to provide families with homeschooling methods that are not only academically rigorous but also emotionally enriching.

As a Simplicity Parenting Coach and Certified Life Coach, Jennifer remains committed to empowering families with the tools and support they need to navigate the homeschooling journey with confidence and ease. Through her books, "Mothering by the Book”, and “Habits for a Sacred Home" Jennifer offers invaluable guidance for parents seeking to overcome challenges and savor the joys of motherhood.

CAN MY 2-YEAR-OLD USE THE PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM?

We believe the daily prompts, crafts, and books will be well-loved by early learners of all ages. You may adapt certain things to fit the needs of your young child, or move more slowly through the resource.

WHICH RESOURCE SHOULD I USE?

Check out our Start Here page for an outline of how we recommend you walking through the curriculum.

We recommend starting with The Peaceful Preschool for your 2-5 year old child, followed by Nourishing Nature Kindergarten.Once your child can hold a pencil and trace with ease, you can choose one of our elementary guides.

We recommend doing Playful Pioneers, followed by the Kind Kingdom, followed by The Precious People. If you are in a co-op that is using a different history cycle, feel free to start anywhere.

WHAT GRADES ARE THE PLAYFUL PIONEERS, THE KIND KINGDOM, AND THE PRECIOUS PEOPLE GEARED TOWARDS?

The Playful Pioneers,Precious People and Kind Kingdom Volume 1andKind Kingdom Volume 2 are written for elementary students, approximately grades 1-6. Because math and phonics instruction are not included, you can tailor those subjects to your various students and use our elementary resources for several grades at once, creating family connections around learning. With an older elementary student, you might add an extra grammar or writing resource and let your child choose books from the independent reading list. Middle-grade students can be involved in the projects, cooking, art, and literature portions but will be given their own science and language arts program to work through. They can read from the monthly extended book list and write narrations, draw maps, and create timeline cards with younger siblings, or you can add an extra history resource.

IS THE PEACEFUL PRESS CURRICULUM RELIGIOUS?

Our main early years curriculum, Nourishing Nature Kindergarten and The Peaceful Preschool include optional Bible Verse cards (a free download) but do not contain religious instruction. The elementary resources, Playful Pioneers Volume 1 and 2, Kind Kingdom Volume 1 and 2 and Precious People do include direct Bible lessons. We typically use the King James Bible for copy work because it is not copyrighted and we want children to be exposed to ancient forms of speech for a wide understanding and vocabulary. We are Apostle’s Creed confessing believers who hope to support a life-giving homeschool experience regardless of religious affiliation or non-affiliation.
