The world feels dark, but I’ve got a message of hope…

As a mom, you want to nurture a strong family, but the chaos in the world creates a sense of despair.

I understand. I’ve scrolled X, consumed by the news and weighted down by a sense of impending doom, and then found myself unable to steward peace in my home orfeel hopeful.

Yet, history is full of women who have lived through intense events, faced great despair and hardship, and, with great courage and beautiful hope, created a sacred home. Through the lives of these women and their faithfulness, we can find the strength to carry on building a restorative, sacred home even when the world around us seems subsumed in chaos.

In Habits for a Sacred Home, I’ll take you on my journey of finding the courage to build a holy home in the midst of a wild world through the stories of faithful women and their spiritual disciplines.

You wrote another book! Tell me more!

From the moment my first child was born, and I held her in my arms, I had a consuming desire to give my daughter and my children to come, a home that was a place of restoration, of rest away from the turmoil, stress, and uncertainty of the world. And thousands of moms, I realized, wanted the exact same thing for their children.

The desire to create a sacred home is God given, and it is possible.

I was so excited about the process, but my failure, disappointment, low standards, and stress spoke to me constantly, telling me lies about what was possible, about God’s redemption of every aspect of my life, and my capability.

Listening to despair caused a loss of joy as I became a victim of the lies that I was believing. I squandered so much time, believing ‘it is what it is”, and it kept me from pursuing and building a sacred home.

I tried to build habits and create a holy home, but I couldn’t do it alone. However, the testimony of women who have gone before gave me vision and perseverance.

With my children getting older, the weight of the world they will inherit drove me to read about women who faced grave danger and trouble, heartache and destruction, but through it all, built sacred homes that were beacons of light and hope in tumultuous times.

I read about Ruth Bell Graham, who built a home alone through much of her husband’s ministry, or Sabrina Wurmbrand, building a life in communist Romania, and knew that external circumstances could not affect my mission and calling as a mother. In the midst of personal pain, societal pain, and uncertainty, we can embrace holy habits and create a sacred home.

I recaptured hope knowing that if these women could nurture peace in their own chaotic world, so could I.

In the face of what seems like impossible circumstances, you can feel empowered to build something more beautiful and wholesome for your children, and in Habits for a Sacred Home, I’ll give you the insights that helped me face the day with hope and courage. Together, we can bring restoration to our homes and culture, and this book will lead the way.

Who is this book for?

Since I’ve been in the thick of this fight for Hope, I can speak to this QUITE CONFIDENTLY: This book is for you.
