10 Years Later: The Stories Behind The Peaceful Press

10 Years Later: The Stories Behind The Peaceful Press

When I first created The Peaceful Press, the goal was never simply to just produce curriculum.

The vision was to help families create homes filled with connection, meaningful learning, beautiful books, nature, practical skills, and faith.

Ten years later, the greatest gift has been hearing from the families who have welcomed these resources into their homes.

As we celebrate a decade of The Peaceful Press, we wanted to share a few of the stories that have encouraged us most.

"The Simplicity Changed Everything"

One of the most common themes we hear is relief.

Many homeschooling parents begin their journey overwhelmed by options, endless curriculum choices, and the pressure to do it all.

Katie shared:
"It has offered a simplicity I didn't know I could have in homeschooling. I had always pulled from so many other resources and felt weighed down by balancing it all. As I began to let go and trust the process of simplicity, I saw life and joy growing in me and my kids."

Another mom, Erin, described her early homeschooling years as full of "over-purchasing, comparison-scrolling, and mid-year melting."

The Peaceful Press helped her discover the rich simplicity she had always hoped homeschooling could be.

For us, simplicity has never meant doing less. It has meant making room for what matters most.

"It Helped Me See the Whole Child"

From the beginning, The Peaceful Press has been built around the belief that education should nurture the mind, body, and spirit.

Katie, a mother of four, reflected on using The Peaceful Preschool with her oldest son nearly a decade ago:
"I always appreciated the emphasis of The Peaceful Press on nurturing and attending to the whole child in education—mind, body, and spirit."

Today, that son is a nature-loving, music-loving, math-loving young man.

Stories like these remind us that the habits, experiences, and relationships formed in the early years matter deeply.

"It Changed the Way We Learn Together"

Many families tell us that The Peaceful Press resources transformed learning from something children endure into something families experience together.

Jessica shared:
"The Peaceful Press has allowed our family to prioritize learning as an adventure and from a stance of awe and wonder rather than checking off boxes on a list."
Through books, nature study, projects, recipes, and meaningful conversations, learning becomes a shared experience rather than a daily race to complete assignments.

"It Gave Me Confidence as a Mother"

Some of our most treasured messages aren't about curriculum at all.

They're about motherhood.

Kristin, a former teacher, shared:
"I wasn't sure I wanted to homeschool, but when time came to decide on preschool, I opted for your curriculum. In so many ways, it has shaped my homeschool."

Sylvie echoed a similar sentiment:
"Personally, they have helped equip me towards healed, whole, and determined motherhood."

These words remind us that homeschooling is never just about educating children. It is also about growing alongside them.

"It Brought Peace During Difficult Seasons"

Homeschooling doesn't happen in perfect circumstances.

Dana shared how The Peaceful Preschool supported her family during pregnancy, bed rest, and recovery after the birth of twins.

"The simple stability was such a relief to me."

Again and again, families tell us that the gentle structure, flexibility, and ease of use allowed learning to continue even through life's hardest seasons.

Sara shared, "We finished our 4th year of homeschooling using the peaceful press curriculum this spring. We have loved each year. We have had slow mornings, lots of time for reading and so much play. My kids’ imagination is incredible. We have had time in our days for them to play Little House on the Priairie, notice nature around us, and imagine Narnia (my daughter even requested to have her hair cut like Lucy from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe!) And through their creative play they have worked through conflict with each other, solidified their learning about history, and deepened their relationships with each other. My 3 school aged girls scored grades above on their reading comprehension annual testing this spring. Our family is so thankful for the story-focused curriculum and the time we’ve had as a family to enjoy time to learn and grow together!"

A Decade of Gratitude

As we celebrate ten years of The Peaceful Press, we are filled with gratitude.

Gratitude for the families who trusted us with their children's learning.Gratitude for the mothers who welcomed our resources into their homes.Gratitude for the stories, messages, and encouragement you've shared with us along the way.

The truth is that these ten years have never really been about curriculum.

They've been about families reading together on couches, baking in kitchens, exploring nature trails, building relationships, growing in faith, and creating memories that last long after lessons are complete.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

Here's to the next decade of connection, curiosity, wonder, and joy.
