I began homeschooling 5 months ago my kindergartener. I’ve meddled in a few different loose curriculums until I determined his learning style and what worked for us. I was ready for more structure. I SO wish I would’ve found this sooner as it has brought a lot of purpose and structure to our day. This is excellent and seems to build on knowledge appropriately. It is so easy to follow and I am able to substitute things if I need to based on his level of understanding.
I have been using the Peaceful Press resources for a year now, but we just purchased and began working through the Peaceful Preschool with our three year old, and we couldn't be happier. Last year, even though our guy was little, I was really struggling with all of the times I felt I had to say "no" to him throughout the day when he asked me to play, read, etc. Now, I initiate and we have a sweet time of connection a few mornings a week while his sister naps. He has been walking around with his little backpack saying "Teacher Mommy, are you ready to do school with me?" My heart is so thankful for this gentle but comprehensive resource easing us into education.
We are loving the weekly recipes included in the cookbook that correspond to the lessons for the Peaceful Preschool! We’ve already done “A” week and “B” week, and my three year old has really looked forward to our weekly dessert.
I’m very impressed with The Kind Kingdom; it has exceeded my expectations. Such wonderful resources included, as well as the books used throughout. The art resources are very good. I’m very grateful for the amount of work that has gone into the curiculum; thank you!
