The kids loved hearing all about the animals and what they did for the winter season. I think it was hard sometimes for them to connect Christ to the advent stories, but we did more review on those animals. We had fun with this and ended up with some beautiful ornaments. Hobby Lobby had some clean wood ornaments and we glued our colored animals to them. It made for a special season.
This Christmas Guide was perfect for what I was hoping to achieve with my 3.5 year old during the holidays! There was something to read, do, craft, learn on a daily basis and my son was thriving with new crafts and ideas. Most of the book recommendations were found online and we paired it with biblical stories and was so fun! We skipped around based on what material and grace I had that day and my son was asking for Christmas school daily! Some
of the crafts and activities did require more than the standard items so I had a hard time keeping up with all the options, but there definitely were some free and low budget craft ideas as well so works well for whichever season your in! overly, I highly recommend!
Well, I got only into a few of the chapters and I did not enjoy it Peaceful Press Advent. I don't think studying animals in hibernation has anything to do with Advent. Probably creation and science. This would be a good winter study of animals in hibernation but not anything Christian. We ended up dropping this study within the first couple of days. I did not enjoy this study.
Unearthing Wonder has been such a blessing to our family this year. We opted to only decorate our Christmas tree with the ornaments we created from The Peaceful Press. It has made our Christmas tree so special, and it was such a peaceful approach to Christmas decor this year.
My 8 year old daughter will be exploring American history next year and I wanted something that her kinder aged twin sisters could join in on the learning adventure with us. Just what I was looking for.
