This is so enjoyable for my family, we LOVE it. Kids using it are 8/7/5/4. I much prefer this ‘grid style’ to the ‘checklist style’ of the Nature Book Flood (which I do not own, but I believe is very similar in content). ALSO—I really enjoy the math and phonics in this season guide! My kids look forward to doing this and we do all of it as a group (and I add more math and reading for my older kids). The only thing I would change is that there are only 2 suggested books each week; I wish there were 4.
We love this curriculum! It has taken us some time and money to gather the suggested books, but they’ve not disappointed.
Not all have been available at the library for us. Great routine, wording and activities for our 6 year old.
We are loving PPV2 for our 5th grade year! We’ve used many Peaceful Press items and have always been pleased.
This curriculum is being used by our co-op and I haven't been impressed. There's no solid connection between the books being read and any activities or assignments. The copy work pages are vague. There is also no connection to any of the additional readings and the rest of the work. It all just feels random and thrown together. I wish there was more depth in the history and science areas as well. Especially for older students. It's an okay curriculum for young elementary but that's it.
The Kind Kingdom provided printouts for artwork, copy work, History of Kings and Queens and more! My favorite part is their thoughtfulness and creating this curriculum for an entire family. I have three children ages ten, eight and six. There are different levels of copy work provided for all of their ages! I am so grateful. One stop shop. 🤣
