While there are elements of this curriculum that I really appreciate to be completely honest we were very disappointed with the precious people. My girls and I worked through “playful pioneers” as our first peace of work from the peaceful press last year. While I understand this dwas technically “out of order”, I was particularly interested in going through the little house series and therefore went ahead and started there rather than with precious people. We loved playful pioneers. Loved it. When I went to ask customer service what they recommended to start next barring in mind the fact that my girls are 10, and 12, and that we’d already done playful pioneers, they recommended that we start at the beginning with precious people. I browsed through what you could see online and purchased the curriculum expecting it to be similar to what we were used to, and while the set up is similar, the content is not the same. This entire curriculum is very catered towards younger children. We felt like with the playful pioneers it was much more inclusive for all students age wise rather than this one specifically focuses so much of the work on the alphabet for example. While I still can appreciate the wholesome content, and I also understand that this was the writers first curriculum for her own children and therefore probably more of them were younger, but I wish I’d known prior to spending my very small budget on curriculum that this was not as inclusive for older students like the playful pioneers.
