Reading and listening to podcasts are excellent ways to grow as home educators and mothers.
I read and listen to a variety of podcasts and books each month, and in the Restoration Home Community this year we will be reading For the Family's Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay, a beautiful foundational book for homeschool families.

Some of the books I enjoyed in 2024 (in no particular order)
The Opt Out Family by Erin Loechner
Habits for a Sacred Home (this was our book club pick for Restoration Home Community so I shared a workshop on it each month)
Reclaiming Quiet by Sarah Clarkson
Reconnected by Carlos Whittaker
4 Habits of Joy Filled People by Chris Coursey and Marcus Werner
The Rosemary Tree by Elizabeth Goudge
The Queen’s Code by Alison Armstrong
What Falls from the Sky by Esther Emery
We Took to the Woods by Louise Dickinson Rich
Being Elizabeth Elliott by Ellen Vaughn
House of Dreams by Liz Rosenberg
Joan of Arc by Mark Twain
The Story of Charlotte Mason by Essex Cholmondeley
A Healthier Home by Shawna Holman
Much May Be Done with Sparrows by Karen Glass
Beyond Mere Motherhood by Cindy Rollins
Many of these books inspired me to be a better mother, and to live with intention and grace. As we read, we shape a vision of virtue that leads our family higher as well.

In the Peaceful Press homeschool resources each year we read many books that are designed to cultivate hope and virtue in your family as well as create connection that results in thoughtful children.
