How Literature-Based Homeschooling Can Nurture Faith
This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the Northern California Homeschool Convention, and it was such a joy to meet so many dedicated and passionate homeschool moms in person.
One of the most touching moments of the event came when I met a mom named Grace.
On Friday, she approached me with tears in her eyes and shared how The Peaceful Press curriculum had transformed their homeschool year.
Then on Saturday, she found me again in the exhibit hall to share something even more powerful—her children had just finished the final lessons in The Kind Kingdom, and as they closed the book, they declared their love for God and desire to be a part of His Kingdom.
This beautiful story moved me deeply. When I created The Peaceful Press, I filled it intentionally with life-giving literature, soul-stirring poetry, and rich nature-based learning that reflects the goodness of God.
While my own children have grown and continued in the Christian faith, hearing how other families are experiencing spiritual renewal through these resources fills me with hope.

Our Homeschool Resources Are Built to Inspire Truth, Beauty, and Connection
At The Peaceful Press, we offer gentle, literature-based homeschool curricula designed to build lasting family bonds and nurture the heart and mind. Whether you are a Christian homeschooling family or a secular homeschooler looking for wholesome resources, our curriculum is adaptable and built around the values of connection, curiosity, and character.
We are non-denominational, Apostle’s Creed-confessing Bible-believers, with Catholics and Baptists on our team, and we welcome families from every stream of Christianity—Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, Presbyterian, and beyond. Our resources highlight church history in a respectful and educational way, aiming to help children understand their place in the wider story of humanity and faith.

Secular and Faith-Based Homeschooling Families Welcome
We understand that each family’s approach to faith is different, and we’ve designed our materials with flexibility in mind:
-
For secular families:
-
The Peaceful Preschool Volumes 1 & 2 and Nourishing Nature Kindergarten do not include Christian content.
-
Our Holiday Book Flood and Christmas Guides include a Christmas story, but do not include direct Christian content.
-
You can add optional faith components like The Good Gospel and paired Bible verse cards if desired.
-
-
For Christian families:
-
Precious People, Playful Pioneers, and The Kind Kingdom include Bible reading, memory verses, and Christian worldview elements.
-
Unearthing Wonder Advent Guide includes scripture and devotions to lead you closer to God over the Christmas season.
-
These resources offer rich stories and poetry that support Christian discipleship and help spark meaningful conversations about faith.
-
Even if you're not religious, incorporating the Bible as a text can offer your children insights into history, culture, and classical literature—it's a foundational book in Western civilization.

Will Our Curriculum Guarantee Faith Outcomes?
No curriculum can promise salvation or lifelong belief—but we do know this: when you create a joyful home, when your children are immersed in truth, beauty, and connection, their hearts are more open to the things of God. My own children have grown into adulthood with a strong faith in God, and I believe this is God's desire for your family as well. Through storytelling, art, nature, and gentle rhythms, our curriculum lays a foundation for children to feel known, loved, and attuned to God.
Your Homeschool Can Be a Place of Joy and Meaning
We love hearing from families who are finding joy, peace, and even transformation through our resources. Whether you're just starting your homeschool journey or you’ve been walking this road for years, we hope our curriculum helps you nurture what matters most—connection, wonder, and faith.
