What ages is this unit designed for?

This unit is ideal for elementary-aged students (roughly ages 5–12), with printable student sheets available in Kinder, Print, Cursive, and Elementary formats. This can be used with older elementary and middle school students by adding books from the included extended list.

How long does the unit last?

This is a 4-week (1-month) study designed to give your family an overview of South America through literature, hands-on projects, and cross-subject connections.

Do I need to buy The Boy Who Biked the World separately?

Yes. The book (and a few other suggested books) is not included in the download, but it is essential to the unit. You can purchase or borrow it from your local library. Most of the supplemental picture books are available as Youtube read alouds.

Is this a stand-alone curriculum?

Yes—with one exception. You’ll need to supplement with your own math and phonicscurriculum. We include some phonics review, and daily copywork, narration, or notebooking.

Is this a digital or physical product?

It’s a digital download—you’ll receive printable PDFs that you can use at your convenience. Print what you need, when you need it.

Is this unit faith-based?

Yes. The parent guide includes Bible readings and faith-focused reflection activities woven into the weekly lessons. Secular families can easily skip that section of the resource.
